AbelConn, LLC has over thirty-five years of design and manufacturing experience in backplane systems. Our focus is toward those demanding applications found in the military and aerospace environments. From shipboard radar/fire, control to high reliability Air Transport avionics to sophisticated C31 Troop Ship and F-15 flight systems AbelConn delivers reliable, cost effective backplane solutions. We are one of the few suppliers qualified to build Mil-A-28870 backplanes as well as Mil-C-28859 components. Our capabilities include both press fit and soldered connections.
Metal Backplanes:
AbelConn is the leading supplier of metal backplanes fabricated with Mil-C-28754 components for wire wrapped termination. Our vertical manufacturing integration allows control of all aspects of the job from component fabrication, to assembly and wire wrap. We also supply unwired finished plates to major wire wrapping service suppliers. AbelConn is the source for requirements from small quantity needs to large multi-year production builds.

 Connectors:
AbelConn is a supplier of connectors and custom interconnects ranging from MIL-DTL-55302 QPL product, MIL-C-28754 NAFI style, to super high-density SHD and mating MIL-C-28859 backplane modular connectors. Our products include molded plastic and machined metal connector bodies depending on the application and volume. We have your solution when it comes to using flexible circuits for surface mount termination of connectors to PWBs as well as assembling flex jumpers.
Custom Interconnect:
Based on our vertical integration model our interconnect solutions are limited only by your imagination. With our own machine shop, stamping capabilities, molding capabilities and plating capabilities we are able to provide you with the unique solution that your military and aerospace applications require.
Chassis Assembly:
Our ability to excel in small to mid range chassis assembly is a testament to our operational efficiencies as well as our dedication and execution to proper supply chain, management practices and 5S lean manufacturing philosophies.  Flex Circuit Assembly:
Sometimes an overlooked competency, but not for AbelConn. We are your “go to” service provider for all Flex and Rigid Flex assembly and test needs. Our capabilities have grown from a history of flex circuit content on our custom connectors and headers. We understand the uniqueness of these assemblies and have the skill set and attention to detail required to succeed where other suppliers have failed.
