History

Founded in 1957, as National Connector Company in New Hope, Minnesota. NCC went on to add a new facility in Cokato, MN to focus on molded connector manufacturing.
  • In 1969-, National Connector Company is acquired by Fabri-Tek.

  • In 1969- Fabri-Tek acquires Circuitron in Baldwin Wisconsin.

  • In 1982- Fabri-Tek is acquired by CTS, of Elkhart IN.

  • In 1997- AbelConn, LLC is formed to acquire all assets of the CTS connector division.

  • In 2002 – AbelConn, LLC expands their New Hope, MN facility by 25% and adds Back Plane manufacturing capabilities. LED, CCA and Chassis assembly capabilities were also added in 2002.

  • In 2003 AbelConn, LLC introduces chassis assembly capabilities.

  • In 2006 – AbelConn, LLC management buy out lead by the current President and CEO of AbelConn, LLC.

Aerospace Component Manufacturers AbelConn, Photo Etch Merge to Create Major Industry Player

Companies will offer expanded product lines with continuous improvement of speed and reliability

 NEW HOPE, MN & FORT WORTH, TX – Nov. 16, 2010 –– A merger between two aerospace specialty manufacturers – Photo Etch and AbelConn – has created a major player in the industry. Working together, the companies can provide more products and services to their extensive slate of clients, which includes the leaders of the aerospace industry, such as Honeywell, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Rockwell Collins, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon and the U.S. Department of Defense, among others.
